CtE Crusader

Class Description

The Crusader is a heavily armored pilgrim on a journey of religious purification. In combat, he relies on his two-handed war hammer and the religious enlightenment of his allies. Calling upon divine powers, he cures the wounds of his comrades and blesses them to join his holy crusade.

Class Mechanic
Smashing his hammer into his enemies, the Crusader generates Divine Favor which he uses to heal and bless his allies. His deity rewards him for his efforts, often granting him and his brother in arms renewal to continue their holy crusade.

Each successful attack increases the Crusaders divine favor by 3. Additionally, there is a 25% chance to heal the Crusader for a small amount upon hitting an enemy. If applicable, the Crusaders Brother in Arms is healed for twice the amount. Divine favor does not degenerate over time.

Abilities

Brother in Arms
The Crusader blesses a follower that has proven his worth during their mutual crusade. All abilities performed by the Crusader have their effect greatly increased on the Brother in Arms.

30 seconds cooldown. The Crusader declares the selected ally his Brother in Arms, increasing the effect of all spells cast by the Crusader on that ally. Whenever the Crusader is healed trough Crusade, the Brother in Arms is also healed for twice as much. Lasts until the Crusader declares a different Brother in Arms or either one of the two Brothers in Arms dies.

Fanaticism
The Crusader inspires all close-by allies with a religious battlecry. The Crusader’s deity sends out a seraph that blesses the weapons of all nearby allies, increasing their attack speed.

35 seconds cooldown. The Crusader blesses the weapons of all allies within range, increasing their attack speed by 20%. The attack speed of the Brother in Arms is increased by 30%. Lasts 30 seconds.

Holy Light
The Crusader calls forth a favor of his deity, blasting the target with a divine light, causing holy damage to opponents and healing allies.

2 seconds cooldown. Blasts the target with holy light, causing 100 damage to an enemy or healing an ally for 200. If the target ally is declared Brother in Arms of the Crusader, he is healed for 300.

Divine Purpose
The Crusader asks his deity to bless his war hammer. The chance that the deity rewards the Crusader’s efforts and its effect are greatly increased.

20 seconds cooldown. The Crusaders hammer is engulfed in flames of light, temporarily increasing the chance to heal himself and his Brother in Arms by 50%. Healing done by Crusade is also increased for the duration of the effect. Lasts 10 seconds.
