Project Description
Schachspiel.de is a online multi- player chess platform that I developed during my internship at O.E.M.
It features different game modes to play chess asyn- chronously against a computer opponent or against other players. There also is a third game-type called Community versus Computer, where every registered player can suggest the next move to be taken by the community. Each night, the move that was suggested by the majority of players is selected/made and all players who picked the chosen move are rewarded.
Schachspiel.de provides a point-and click interface to GNU Chess and was developed purely in PHP (meaning that it uses no JavaScript or AJAX). The development is covered in my internship report Browser-based Online-Multiplayer Games (german).
